Delivery and Installation

Introduction

Working with the manufacturing process, the Servaccomm project management team ensure that the site is ready and on programme to accept the modular building when delivered. During this phase we will construct the foundation, arrange utilities and organise appropriate site welfare.  In certain circumstances it may be appropriate or financially advantageous for clients to arrange their own foundations suitable for us to deliver the building onto.

The site project team are responsible for the health and safety file and will organise all necessary requirements, such as the F10, site-set up, and all the statutory notices needed to commence work on site.

Once the building is handed over to the client Servaccomm will remain in contact to ensure the smooth operation of the facility. At the end of the first anniversary, we will meet the client on site and ensure there are no outstanding remedial works.

Delivery & installation

On completion of the manufacturing cycle, the Servaccomm team ensure the modular building is ready for transport and ultimately delivery to site. The client is also assigned a dedicated Senior Project Manager during the manufacturing process whose task is to continue the client relationship, communication and oversee the successful installation and handover of the building.

Before the building leaves our site we wrap it in polyurethane to protect it from the elements. Steel support bars are added to stop movement during its journey and one final inspection is made to ensure the quality is in line with the Servaccomm pursuit of excellence.

Once the building arrives on site our Senior Project Manager will oversee the installation process. The Construction Phase Health and Safety Plan will detail the method/sequencing and timing of all operations, so you have complete peace of mind, before he leaves the day-to-day running of the site to our Site Manager. 

On completing the on-site element of the programme, Servaccomm will organise a handover meeting with the client to ensure complete satisfaction with the building and our service to date. Customer satisfaction and retention is critical to Servaccomm culture and we welcome feedback from your first point of contact to the final handover of the building.

At Servaccomm, nothing is more important than health and safety. The Directors have formal legal duties and fulfil these without exception. The directors chair monthly health and safety meetings to look at ways of assessing and reducing risk at all stages of the project. Health and safety is also top of the agenda at monthly board meetings. The welfare of every employee, sub-contractor, client and member of the public is of critical importance to Servaccomm, a theme which is reflected throughout our company policies.

Servaccomms' approach makes the difference to health and safety and listed below are a few ways we achieve this through the ongoing pursuit of zero incidences whenever we operate.

  • All employees and visitors undergo a site induction to help them consider risks while on our premises
  • Sub-contractors cannot work for Servaccomm unless they have successfully passed a health and safety certification.
  • Before any sub-contractor starts work on our site, a formal site safety induction must be undertaken
  • Our Manufacturing and Senior Project Managers run regular toolbox talks on potential risks, either for the factory or external client sites
  • We undertake full risk assessments at every stage of the project
  • We ensure regular site safety inspections by employing independent external health and safety consultants
  • Servaccomm reduce working at height scenarios and the possible risks associated with this activity

After sales

The journey doesn’t end with the handover of the modular building. From your first contact with Servaccomm and interaction with our sales team, through to working with our Project Managers, communication and engagement are both critical to the success of your holistic customer journey with Servaccomm.

On handover, the sales team will be present to share your personal experience of dealing with Servaccomm. This is a good opportunity to discuss and arrange any additional after care services, such as maintenance contracts for alarms or mechanical and electrical systems once the statutory warranties expire.
